This copybook belonged to Mary Atwood (1817-1906), the daughter of Solomon
and Lucy Atwood. Mary was the sister of Levi Atwood, the owner of the
Atwood Store.
The pages include Mary’s handwriting practice using
such phrases as amplification management of, multiplicity of forms
and manners, and quarterly review of north america [sic].
