This room displays paintings of ships and shipmasters, as well as examples of the nautical equipment used on their voyages. Logs and journals offer insight on the long sea journeys so many men in Chatham took. Of special interest is a beautiful 19th century sailor’s valentine brought back to Chatham by one of its sea captains.
