The Fishing Gallery

One of the most significant additions to the Atwood House Museum is this 2005 gallery highlighting the four kinds of commercial fishing most prominent in this area: line fishing, weir or trap fishing, shell fishing and lobstering.

The exhibit consists of models of typical fishing boats, examples of equipment used, paintings and photographs of fishermen and fishing techniques, hands-on activities, as well as videos of oyster harvesting and weir fishing.
