Redesign of the Chatham Historical Society/Atwood House Museum web site continues. Stage 2 has gone online as of August, 2011. Changes will continue as more content is developed.

Phase 2; August 2011; focus is on navigation and organization, with some new content.

• Improved navigation:
  • New dynamic drop-down menus, across the top of each page, below the new Atwood House Museum banner.
  • New left column on each page, with links to related pages.
  • New footer section on each page, with website-related links such as “ Sitemap” and “Website Feedback Form”
  • New Site Search and Sitemap pages.
• New format:
  • New page layout - a fixed width format for consistent viewing across different screen sizes.
• New content:
  • Updated and/or new individual page for each Gallery and Collection in the Museum.
  • Improved Research section, featuring online request form(s).

Phase 1; March 2011

• Revised Home Page Layout:
  • New Home Page, with dynamic, clickable banner pictures.
  • Home Page sections for 'Headlines' and 'New Online Content'.
  • Upcoming activities and events will continue to be posted in the "Up Next" section of the Home Page.
• New content:
  • "Visit The Museum" page. This page will be the anchor for later enhancements, such as planning your visit.
  • "Special Exhibits" page. This page provides a prominent place to feature current and future special exhibits.
  • Atwood Log Archives: A new section, featuring online copies of older Atwood Log newsletters.
  • Online membership enrollment.
  • Enhanced calendar pages, including a Full Calendar of Programs and Events, details of the Atwood House Museum Hours for 2011, and a separate page listing the schedule for the Voices Lecture Series
  • New "Connect/Contact" page, with links to AHM on Facebook, contact information, and links to other historical and municipal web sites of interest.
  • New "Press Page", for press releases and links to press coverage of the Atwood House Museum.

Future Enhancements

• Online research of the Museum's catalog of holdings (selected subsets).
• New online Museum Store
• Improved "Volunteer" page(s), with online sign-up form.
