The 2011
Haunted Happenings Halloween
event was a great success!

See more pictures on our Facebook page!
So many families enjoyed our tricky scavenger hunt and Halloween games, treats at our themed bake sale, crafty art projects, and getting glamorous with our face painter. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for helping to make this event come together! Special thanks to our sponsors the Chatham Girl Scout troop #80775 and Agway of Chatham for making Haunted Happenings possible.
We can hardly wait for next Halloween!

Haunted Happenings Scarecrow Contest

The Atwood House Museum is hosting a scarecrow making contest. Use your creativity to make the coolest, scariest, funniest, or cutest scarecrow and drop it off on the Atwood House lawn to be judged during the Haunted Happenings event. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a special prize!

The rules are… there are no rules! We want you to use your creativity to make the most unique scarecrow Chatham has ever seen! That means that your scarecrow doesn't have to be a man (or human for that matter!), you can use whatever materials you have available to you, and can dress it in any way you'd like.

Spots on our lawn are first-come-first-serve. You may drop your creation off no earlier than October 24th and no later than October 28th! Judging will take place on Saturday, October 29th at 3 pm - the winners will be contacted immediately after. Please remember to pick up your scarecrow after the contest is over. Please remember to fill out the form below and pin it to your creation prior to dropping it off; for a printable PDF copy of the Entry Form, please click here. Use the Print function of your browser (or Ctrl-P keys) to print.
