Join the Atwood House Museum as we celebrate our new exhibit The Raptor’s Eye: The Natural World of Robert Verity Clem with some fun bird-based educational programs in partnership with the Massachusetts Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.

Birding in the Footsteps of Bob Clem

A program in conjunction with the Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

Tour several of the places Bob could be found watching or videotaping birds. From South Wellfleet to South Monomoy we’ll look at some of the birds Bob painted and enjoyed observing. We’ll travel along the dunes and over the beaches and tidal flats of Chatham’s outer shore and view the habitats that inspired Bob. From waterfowl, shovelers and teal of Station Pond, shorebirds, short-billed dowitchers and hudsonian godwits of Godwit bar to terns, roseate, forster's and black, and jaegers of South Beach, all the places packed with birds during migration. We’ll share some of the magic of all these unique bird and birding magnets. This event is intended for adults.
